Golden treasure salvaged from shipwreck

Thanks to the deployment of one of our Seaeye Tiger ROVs, salvagers from Mammoet Salvage succeeded in extracting 9.5 tonnes of gold and silver from the hold of the Polar Mist, in the Atlantic Ocean. Shortly before, this freighter had sunk in a heavy storm close to the entrance of the Magellan Straits, in 75 metres of water. The insured value of the  treasure trove was 17 million dollars.
