A-12 and B-13 Riser and Spools Installation (2011)
Bluestream Diving B.V. has safely completed the riser and spool piece installations for Chevron Transportations on the A-12 and B-13 location.
Chevron Transportation B.V. is developing the B13 Field. The gas reserves are accumulating in the B10 and B13 blocks located in the North region of the Dutch North Sea. The field is developed by means of 4 initial platform wells followed with the possibility to add 2 future wells.
The new B13A platform will be tied back to A12 Central Processing Platform by means of a 16” 22.2 km gas export line. The combined well fluids from A12 and B13 will be compressed, dried and produced into the NOGAT trunk system. The Pipeline end located in a target box at the B13A platform was connected by Bluestream to the platform’s riser using a flanged rigid spoolpiece in a Z-configuration. Due to the length, this will be split in two spools.
At the A-12 platform, also a rigid spoolpiece was installed by Bluestream for the tie-in to the new riser. The spoolpiece was due to the size, it is also split in two parts.
The tie-in riser at A12 was installed by Bluestream to the inside of the A12 jacket. It is supported at the jacket by newly installed riser supports.
All operations conducted from Bluestream chartered DPII DSV “Skandi Inspector” mobilised with full air diving spread and Observation ROV.
