As a Tender Engineer, your responsibilities span managing tenders, from receiving the initial request to allocating contracts and handing them over to the project department. Your role as a Tender Engineer at Bluestream
As a Tender Engineer, you are in charge of overseeing the tender process, from receiving the bid request to contract allocation and handover to the project department. As a Tender Engineer, you're responsible for all commercial activities related to tender requirements and associated subcontractors' and suppliers' requirements, from receiving the tender request to contract allocation and handover to the project department.
Your journey begins with evaluating tenders (whether to bid or not) based on risk assessment, organizational availability, and technical capacity. Then, you manage and execute all commercial aspects of assigned tenders, including describing technical solutions, calculations, and proposals from third parties, following applicable commercial procedures.
You conduct a technical evaluation of tender documentation, arrange tender kick-off meetings with internal stakeholders, and devise an approach plan for assigned tenders. Additionally, you perform a contractual evaluation of assigned tenders and formulate qualifications regarding contractual, legal, commercial, financial, tax, and insurance implications and obligations.
As a Tender Engineer at Bluestream, you don't just translate our clients' requests into comprehensive technical and commercial bids. You also calculate budgets, seek the most suitable technical solutions, and liaise with the project team.
You initiate and manage review cycles of prepared bid documentation and incorporate feedback arising from the review cycle. Ultimately, you timely submit the bid documentation and monitor the commercial process in a structured manner. You're also responsible for guiding the clarification process with the customer, ensuring all customer queries are adequately addressed.
As a Tender Engineer, you strive for continual improvement of the tendering process and application of best practices. You ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations and industry standards (e.g., ISO, IMCA, IRATA, etc.).
It's crucial that you have an excellent command of both Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
