NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is a range of techniques used to examine material properties without causing damage to the material itself. These techniques are mainly based on electromagnetic radiation and ultrasonic sound wave physics. The NDT techniques are commonly deployed by Bluestream to assess material strength and ensure structural integrity. NDT methods include Ultrasonic Thickness (UT) Measurements, Flooded Member Detection (FMD), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and Eddy-Current Measurements.
To ensure the methods are applied accurately, Bluestream works with certified inspectors to gather valuable information. All three branches; Diving, ROV and Rope Access use the techniques to make it possible to inspect difficult to reach places, both subsea and topside.
