Supporting decommissioning projects

Supporting decommissioning projects

Heerema’s Balder, a Deepwater Construction Vessel (DCV), has approximately 485 men on board, amongst them a team of rope access technicians from Bluestream. This team has been supporting decommissioning projects on a series of platforms for Ecofysk in Norway, providing special cutting and gouging operations.
Bluestream is involved in the first two steps of decommissioning projects. Firstly we ensure the safety of the installation by securing or removing all loose equipment, ducts, pipes etc. Secondly we assist in the removal of the jacket.
As an approved supplier with a considerable number of audits, Bluestream is well qualified to execute work of varied size and complexity, from large-scale, high-profile contracts lasting many months, to random work on call out.
