During our recent ROV-based Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance (IRM) campaign, we deployed subsea Alternating Current Field Measurement (ACFM) technology for weld inspections.
This method helps ensure the structural integrity of offshore environments and reduces the need for divers, enhancing safety and efficiency.
Our in-house developed subsea ACFM tool, 'Gobiesox,' was crucial for these detailed inspections. This innovative tool enabled efficient and accurate assessments of the welds.
Within a timeframe of under a week, our team inspected 27 subsea structural welds across three distinct locations. The operation met client expectations, demonstrating our commitment to delivering reliable services.
The completion of this project highlights our experience in subsea technologies and our ability to manage complex projects under stringent deadlines. We continue to develop subsea inspection methods to ensure the safety and reliability of offshore structures.
Key Achievements:
Our client commended the professional and efficient execution and high standard of work delivered by our team.
In addition to subsea jacket inspections, the 'Gobiesox' is also available for monopile subsea weld inspections to obtain integrity data of WTG foundations for e.g. life-time extension surveys. This versatility allows for coverage and integrity assessment of various offshore structures.
